Pilot is a 5 year old male Black Lab mix. Pilot was rescued from a situation where the people who had him went to jail for animal cruelty because of the neglectful way they treated the over 100 dogs that they had on their property. The good news is that Pilot is sweet, healthy and happy, but a bit shy when he meets new people. Pilot loves other dogs and he also loves affection from people that take the time to get to know him. Pilot is in a foster home with other dogs, and he has worked with a trainer who has built his confidence and also taught him how to walk on leash. Pilot is housetrained and crate trained, and he is ready for a forever home with another dog and an owner who will be patient as he learns the routine. Pilot is so eager to please and ready to give all his love and loyalty to his forever home. We promised Pilot that the sad days in the Mojave desert are long over, and that we are sure that the right person will come along and see what a gem he is.
